A home-based business. A home-based business offers you total independence and control. You are self-employed and are responsible for the business, its earnings and success. You can sell your own product or someone else’s possibly as an affiliate.

Freelancing and Consulting. Freelancing gives you a lot of independence. As a freelancer you have total control over decisions about the people you choose to work with. You should posses certain skills such as the ability to write, business advice, and counseling.

Telecommuting. As a telecommuter you work for someone else. You also have the advantage still being able to access company benefits, such as health insurance.
